"I was a stranger and you invited me in..."

In God's House we are all at home.  You are welcome to join us in worship each Sunday.

Our regular services are at 8 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. each Sunday.  We invite you to join us in worship and stay afterwards for fellowship at Coffee Hour.

We hope that you will find worship with us to be inspirational and our fellowship to be warm.

About our Worship

  Sundays

  8:00 a.m. Worship, Traditional
This early-morning service follows the traditional-language form of Rite One of the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer.  This service is meditative in tone, with periods of silence instead of music.  This service concludes with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist (otherwise known as Holy Communion, the Mass, or the Lord's Supper).
  9:15 a.m. Sunday School/Christian Education
Following our early service, we spend an hour seeking to grow our faith in Christian Education.  The topics of our programs range from Church History to issues of Contemporary Society.

 10:30 a.m. Worship, Traditionally New
This late-morning service follows the contemporary-language form of Rite Two of the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer.  This service seeks a balance between tradition and warmth in worship.  Our music includes hymns and traditional chant.  This service also concludes with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
 11:30 a.m. Coffee Hour Fellowship
You are welcome to join us following our 10:30 service in the parish hall for Coffee Hour.  This is an opportunity to meet and greet each other, share in wonderful foods prepared by our parishoners, and, of course, to have coffee!  Please join us.

Holy Spirit living within us, guide our hearts and minds as we welcome today all those who worship with us at Emmanuel.  Give us discerning hearts so that every one who crosses our threshold feels welcomed in the spirit of your love.  Help us to recognize each person as an individual sent by you who will enrich our lives. And most of all, O God, let this be a place of love and acceptance of all your children; in the name of your Child, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

From Women’s Uncommon Prayers, Elizabeth Geitz et. al., Editors, Morehouse Publishing, prayer by Ms. Valecia Harriman.)
