2001 Episcopal Church & Visual Arts (ECVA) exhibition entitled Out of Darkness Into LIght, Krystyna Sanderson (New York, New York) photographer, curator.  The photograph of Emmanuel's signature rose colored window, by Jan Neal entitled Sanctus, is exhibited here.
 
2002 ECVA Exhibition entitled Art/Community/Story, Susan Dixon (Ithaca, NY), art historian, and Dan Hardison (Wilmington, North Carolina), photographer, co-curators.  This essay and photographs by Jan Neal explore Emmanuel's history and how the little stone church is a work of art in and of itself. 
 
2003 ECVA exhibition entitled Since September 11Krystyna Sanderson (New York, New York), photographer, and Thomas Faulkner (New York, New York), sculptor, co-curators.  This digital collage, entitled e-prayer, features e-mails exchanged by members of Emmanuel on September 11 and in the days immediately following this national tragedy.  It explores the ways we reach for each other and our church in times of fear and sorrow.  Assembled by Jan Neal, this piece is painted with the sentiments of members of Emmanuel.
 
On November 6, 2004, Emmanuel was honored as Opelika's oldest public building by the gift of an historical marker from the Historic Chattahoochee Commission and Opelika Historical Preservation.  The marker inscription appears on-line at the Historic Chattahoochee Commission web site.  Select Lee County and scroll down to Emmanuel's marker.    
 
2005 ECVA exhibition entitled Spirit's Fire, Brie Dodson (Fairfax, Virginia), painter, curator.  The digital art by Jan Neal exhibited here is entitled Spirit of the Vigil and is an image used in publicizing Emmanuel's Pentecost Vigil.  This Emmanuel image may also be seen in a presentation entitled "Opening within Opening:  Building the Gates of Righteousness" by Mel Ahlborn (illumination@earthlink.net) given at the  ACE 2005 International Conference Post Modernity:  Art, Architecture and Spirituality, Jun 1 - 3, 2005, held at the Museum of Biblical Art, 1865 Broadway at 61st Street, New York City.
