Study of Collects
In the summer of 2006, we studied their development and role in liturgical worship.
At the conclusion of the study the class wrote a Collect for Emmanuel:
Emmanuel, Christ with us, who led us each to this holy place and
bestowed upon this church your name, make us ever mindful of the sacrifices made to raise your church from the ground
and to make you our cornerstone; lead us now in your light so that we may be a collective light to each other and to the world,
through your enduring power and mercy and that of the Father and the Holy Spirit. Amen
